Honoring Our Legacy, Growing in Love
An Unfinished Legacy: Building Trinity’s Future Together
A cathedral is a beacon of God’s steadfast presence in the world—a visible sign of justice, love, and mercy.
It is a place of welcome, solace, and beauty for all.
And yet, a cathedral is never truly finished. Each generation is called to ask: what is our work now?
At Trinity Cathedral, we stand in that moment. Building on those who came before us, we are launching a capital campaign to restore and renew our sacred spaces, strengthen our endowment, and secure this place for generations to come.
How might God be calling you to continue building the cathedral?

For generations, people have come to Trinity seeking connection, solace, and meaning—gathering in moments of joy and in times of hardship, finding a deeper awareness of God’s presence.
This campaign ensures Trinity Cathedral continues to be that place—not only for those who worship here, but for the entire city.
Our Story
As Trinity Cathedral moves into its third century, we are embarking on three transformative initiatives.

Renovating Cathedral Hall
For more than a century, this beloved gathering place has been central to Trinity’s life together—even serving as the congregation’s worship space for six years while the cathedral was under construction.
Now, working with Marous Brothers Construction, we are restoring its beauty while thoughtfully upgrading accessibility, lighting, acoustics, climate control, and gathering spaces, along with a new kitchen and connection to the garden.

Restoring Stained Glass Windows
We are undertaking a multi-phase restoration of our stained glass windows—ranging from 19th-century treasures brought from Old Trinity to rare medieval panels that have survived for over 600 years.
In partnership with Whitney Stained Glass Studio, we are carefully cleaning, stabilizing, and repairing these sacred windows to preserve their beauty and protect them from the elements in Northeast Ohio.

Strengthening the Endowment
Established in 1920, the Trinity Endowment sustained the cathedral through the Great Depression and decades of ministry to the wider community.
Today, it has grown to about $24 million, but inflation and rising costs have reduced its impact. The endowment continues to be an essential engine for ministry, and we are called to strengthen it for the future.
Our Goal
We seek to raise $10 million through a combination of current gifts and planned giving:
- $1 million for immediate restoration needs, including Cathedral Hall and stained glass
- $9 million in planned gifts to grow the endowment over time
Together, these commitments will honor Trinity’s past while securing its future.

A Prayer for Our Campaign
Gracious God, we praise and thank you for the founders and members, past and present, of Trinity Cathedral.
Inspire us by their vision, faith, and generosity to fulfill the earthly and spiritual needs of the current and future generations.
Help us to honor their dedication by continuing to serve our community with wisdom and compassion.
May all who enter the doors of Trinity, find it to be a sacred place for all, where they can worship, grow in faith, and call this place their cathedral.
Continue to ignite our mission and ministry, growing your love and spirit within us, from generation to generation. Amen.
