Even in renovation and renewal, we sometimes break new ground.
This Sunday, we’ll gather after the 10:00 a.m. service for a coffee hour in the garden, starting around 11:00 or 11:15 a.m., to learn about a few elements of the Cathedral Hall project that will be entirely new to the space.
Our discernment of how best to update Cathedral Hall led us to some surprising places outside the historic hall itself: the exterior approach from the garden, and the pathways from the cathedral and Chapter Room into the principal gathering space.
This Sunday, we look forward to some beautiful Cleveland fall weather that will allow us to gather in the garden, just outside the doors to Cathedral Hall. We’ll hear from landscape architects MKSK, a local design firm, who will talk about creating an outside approach that is more than just a pathway: it's a new space for events on Trinity's campus, with updated accessible pathways into Cathedral Hall.
We’ll also hear from architects at Marous Brothers Construction about the new vestibule, a necessary transitional space between the garden and the hall that will help Cathedral Hall better accommodate events in weather that is, shall we say, less than perfect.
This is an informal gathering, so stop by on Sunday for as long as you’re able to gather with friends, to meet some of our designers, and to learn about these essential parts of the project that have led us to see our old spaces with new eyes.
