Welcome to Trinity Cathedral

Trinity Cathedral is a sacred place for all people. That includes you!

Whether you’re drawn here by a desire for spiritual growth, a love of music and sacred art, or a passion for the work of peace and justice, we are grateful for your presence at Trinity Cathedral. We encourage you to explore our many ministries, engage with our online content, or learn about the Cathedral and the Episcopal Church here on this site. Click below…or reach out to us to say hello!

Goodness, what a week this has been already…with big community-wide events scheduled tonight  (Thursday) and tomorrow (Friday) as well!

Last night we gathered in the Cathedral and online for our first-ever Expansive Evensong, where we celebrated a liturgy from the Iona community that was intimate and sacred. We were led by violin and vocalists, piano and prayers, and presented a homily where the congregation offered their own thoughts and insights. I look forward to returning to Choral Evensong with the full choir next week, and to doing Expansive Evensong again in a month’s time.

Tonight we will gather with companions from around the city and region for Greater Cleveland Congregation’s Community Action in support of the anti-gerrymanding amendment. Trinity has been active in collecting signatures to get this amendment on the ballot, and we are thrilled to be hosting 300 or more faithful and passionate people to encourage people to vote!

(As a reminder, as a church we cannot – and will not – endorse candidates for office. We can, however, support ballot initiatives, especially when they are in line with the ongoing work of our congregation and/or wider denominational church.)

Tomorrow night, we party!  We’ll welcome Theodicy Jazz Collective, one of the country’s foremost jazz and gospel ensembles. Theodicy has a history with Trinity, having formed in Oberlin several decades ago and, at the time, worked helping us shape a contemporary Cathedral sound that continues to make us a leader in the church…and a place where great music, in multiple voices, happens every Sunday.

Join us as we round out a festive and joyful week at Trinity Cathedral!

The Very Rev. Bernard J. Owens
