Trinity Cathedral welcomed some special four-legged (and furry!) guests on Sunday, October 4, for the annual Blessing of the Animals. Dogs, cats, and other beloved pets joined their human companions for the 9 a.m. worship service in celebration of St. Francis Sunday.
The service honored St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and ecology, who is remembered for his love of all living creatures and his belief that all creation reflects God's goodness.
With a wonderful turnout of people and pets, the service was a joyful celebration of the special bond we share with animals and a reminder to care for all of God's creation.
