My heart is full after nearly 100 people gathered on Sunday to launch Honoring Our Legacy, Growing in Love, Trinity’s campaign to restore Cathedral Hall, repair the stained glass in the cathedral, and grow our endowment to a more sustainable level. I am so grateful for the hard work of all those who contributed to the event, from Campaign Committee members to event leaders to community members to Trinity staff…and, of course, for so many of you who were there to celebrate together.
The warmth and enthusiasm we felt in Cathedral Hall were the perfect example of how God is calling us to be together during this season of growth.
If you missed the event, a great way to learn about our work is by watching the campaign video. You’ll hear stories of what first brought some of our faithful members to Trinity, and how this sacred place continues to touch their hearts today. You’ll also get a picture of the project work ahead of us, and see how our generosity in the coming year will shape Trinity’s ministry for generations to come.
Over the coming months, we’ll learn more about the project work—from windows to kitchens to garden entrances to endowment gifts—and share how you can participate. I hope you’ll prayerfully consider how you can support this work…and I also hope you’ll keep your good questions coming. This has been a wonderfully interactive process, as the input and passions of the congregation have led us to the place where we are today. We are always in discernment: I believe that the Holy Spirit continues to guide us through this process of feedback and mutual listening.
Thank you for showing up to the campaign launch, enthusiastically and wholeheartedly. This is the beginning of a season of transformation, and the Holy Spirit is richly present!
