Every year during Lent, the Trinity Friars set out on their much-anticipated tour of Northeast Ohio fish fries. On Friday evenings at 6:00 p.m., they head to a different parish to share a meal, enjoy good food, and spend time together in fellowship.
This year’s tour included a great mix of parishes across the region. Some offered standout meals, while others fell somewhere lower on the scale. Based on each attendees ratings, here are the rankings for the 2026 season:
- St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic
- Saints Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox
- Annunciation Greek Orthodox
- St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal
- St. James Catholic
- Mary Queen of Peace Catholic
Taking home this year’s Golden Net Award was St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, which rose to the top with high marks across the board and a meal the Friars won’t soon forget.
While the numbers tell part of the story, each weekly fish fry offered something different—strong hospitality, new places to discover, and plenty of conversation along the way. Week after week, the highlight was the time spent together around the table.
The Friars will use these results to help shape next year’s schedule, and suggestions are welcome for fish fries not included on this year’s list.
Thanks to everyone who participated in this fun and memorable season.
