SUMMARY:Lux Aeterna: Victoria's Requiem — Cleveland Chamber Choir
DESCRIPTION:Marking All Souls’ Day\, Cleveland Chamber Choir will present Tomás Luis de Victoria’s Officium Defunctorum. This Renaissance masterwork offers a deeply reflective meditation on remembrance and loss\, marked by clarity\, restraint\, and quiet intensity. It will be performed alongside Eleanor Daley’s Requiem\, a stunning work for a cappella choir that intersperses the traditional Latin Requiem text with poetry in English. Inspired by themes of remembrance and loss\, a portion of the proceeds will be directed to Joel’s Place for Children\, which provides peer-based grief support for school-aged children and their families.
