On May 3, 2015, Trinity Cathedral held its 198th Annual Meeting. The Rev. Kay Rackley was installed as Canon and many members were honored for their service to the Cathedral. Prior to the meeting, the Youth Group held a pancake fundraiser. All proceeds will be used for the summer mission trip to Buffalo, N.Y.
At the 11:15 a.m. Festival Choral Eucharist on Easter, the Rt. Rev. Mark Hollingsworth, Jr., preached. Music was provided by the Trinity Cathedral Choir with brass and timpani.
The Cathedral held its special sunrise service to kindle the new fire of Easter in the Euclid Avenue Courtyard and then processed through the darkened Cathedral with the path lit by the flame of the Paschal candle. Following the service, all were welcome to join in the community breakfast.
The annual Medieval Feast, a fundraiser for Music & Art at Trinity, was held Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015. The 200 guests enjoyed a night in medieval Spain, food from Luna Bakery Cafe and lots of entertainment during this successful fundraiser. Tickets for the 2016 Feast go on sale Feb. 1, 2015 with a ticket price of $100 until July 1.
It was a packed house with more than 550 guests at the Dec. 17, 2014 Messiah Sing. A beloved Cleveland tradition and a wonderful way to get in the Christmas spirit! Director of Music and Worship Todd Wilson conducted the Trinity Chamber Orchestra, soloists and audience in the massed choir! Sponsored by Stephen and Patricia Roberts.
Aug. 28, 2013 marked the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s historic “I have a dream” speech and as part of the national commemoration, the bells were rung at Trinity Cathedral at 3 p.m. – a half-century to the minute after Dr. King delivered his historic address.
