Inquirer’s Retreat

Saturday, Feb. 20 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. The Inquirer’s Retreat is an opportunity to learn about the Episcopal Church and Trinity Cathedral. This class is for those who are new to the church and want to learn more about the Episcopal Church. It will also prepare those who seek to be received or confirmed in the Episcopal Church. Shrove Tuesday

Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016 at 6 p.m. Registration deadline: Feb. 7 Register to attend   On Feb. 9 join us for Shrove Tuesday. We’ll celebrate with a New Orleans-style jambalaya dinner,  Mardi Gras beads, mask-making and a new band, the Zydeco Kings. A vegetarian entree will be available; kids can choose macaroni & cheese. Children, Youth & Young Adult Minister Chris Decatur will have activities for children and youth. Shrove Tuesday (the day before Ash Wednesday) marks the end of the season of Epiphany and is sometimes called Fat Tuesday. Sacred Space Discusses The Artist’s Rule

At its December meeting, the Sacred Space group began discussing The Artist’s Rule: Nurturing Your Creative Soul with Monastic Wisdom by Christine Valters Paintner. The group will continue to meet and discuss the book on the following dates: Tuesday, Jan. 5 (chapters 3-6), Tuesday, Feb. 2 (chapters 7-10) and Tuesday, March 1 (chapters 11 & 12). “Violins of Hope” Outing on Dec. 13

Trinity’s Women’s Group will visit the “Violins of Hope” exhibit at the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage in Beachwood on Sunday, Dec. 13. Other Trinity members and friends are invited to join the group outing, after the 11:15 service. Attendees will have lunch at Trinity, about 12:30 p.m. (bring a brownbag lunch or pick up some food from Cafe Ah-Roma or Subway), and then depart for the museum; car-pooling will be available. Advent 2015 Intergenerational Event

On Sunday, Nov. 29 all ages will come together for intergenerational activities, 10:10-11 a.m. Children and youth will report to their classrooms as usual and will join the activities with their teachers. Attendees can make Advent wreaths with fresh greens and candles; we will have all the supplies needed for this (donations to help defray costs are appreciated). People who have wreath forms at home from previous years are encouraged to bring these back to use for this year’s wreaths. There will also be refreshments and some take-home materials for the Advent season.
