"Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.—The Gift of Servanthood"

On the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Sunday we welcomed Clevelander and Episcopal Church leader Dianne Smith she preached at the 9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. services on her perspective as a black lay leader in the Episcopal Church. She participated in the civil rights pilgrimage to Birmingham, Montgomery and Selma in April 2019, sponsored by the Washington chapter of the Union of Black Episcopalians. She has served in multiple roles in the national and local Episcopal church including trustee, chair of deputation to the 2018 General Convention, diocesan council and director of enrollment services for the Church Divinity School of the Pacific. She currently serves on the vestry of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Cleveland.
