Featured Choral Evensong from Wednesday, November 6, 2019

Trinity Cathedral Choir

William Temple

This week’s featured Evensong is from Nov. 6, 2019 and was sung by the high voices of the Cathedral Choir. The Rev. Adrienne Koch was homilist that evening as we commemorated Archbishop William Temple, one of the towering figures in the history of the Anglican Communion. The Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis are the “Second Service” by Phillip Moore (b. 1943), former organist of Guildford Cathedral and York Minster. The anthem, a recent composition by our own Dr. Judith Eckelmeyer, is a highly effective setting for sopranos and altos of Robert Frost’s famous poem “The Road Not Taken.”
