Messy Church: Beatitudes

Messy Church: Beatitudes

Messy Church: Beatitudes
Sunday, March 31, 2019 — 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

Messy Church is an entirely different worship experience. Conversation, music and laughter flows freely in the Nave. Teenagers intently observe knitting needles tick-tick-tick as a new prayer shawl is being formed. A toddler and an empty-nester giggle, while making the same craft, side-by-side.

The theme for the lesson, activity, demonstration and crafts will focus on The Beatitudes. If you need a refresher, a beatitude is an expression of supreme blessedness. “The Beatitudes” is the title often used to describe eight blessings Jesus listed when he gave his Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:3-11). We’ll interact with these blessings through storytelling, movement, breaking of the bread, and making of the crafts.
