The Dean’s Forum: The Episcopal Church’s Mission in a Divided America

At the Dean’s Forum, The Rev. Walter Brownridge discussed the Church’s role in these challenging and polarized times. He brings into focus the question of how the Church’s ministry of reconciliation will be realized in our contemporary context.

Walter Brownridge is an Episcopal (Anglican) Priest from the Diocese of Hawaii. His most recent position was as the Dean of the Cathedral of St. Andrew in Honolulu, Hawaii where he served from October 2011 through July 2016.

Prior to his move to Honolulu, Walter served as an Associate Dean for Community Life at the School of Theology, Sewanee: The University of the South. He received his M. Div. from General Theological Seminary. He is a graduate of Georgetown University Law and holds a graduate degree in International Relations from the University of San Diego.

Walter is to his wife, Christina Nader – Brownridge. They are the parents of two sons, Alec Thurgood (a graduate of Brown University), and Martin Desmond (a student at Georgetown University).
