Cathedral Concerts Travels Around The World For A Night With An Extraordinary Guitarist

CLEVELAND (December 18, 2015) – Cathedral Concerts, recognized by the Cleveland Plain Dealer as “one of the most unusual (and diverse) endeavors to hit the city in some time,” is presenting Canadian Nuevo flamenco guitarist, Jesse Cook, at the gorgeous Trinity Cathedral on Friday, February 26 at 8:00 p.m.

Cook last visited Cleveland a few years ago, but has recaptured the attention of is fans and thousands of PBS viewers across Northeastern Ohio with his new and very successful music television special entitled Live at Bathurst Theatre.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. ET Monday, December 21. Cook is widely considered one of the most influential figures in nuevo flamenco music, he incorporates elements of flamenco rumba, jazz and many forms of world music into his work. He is a Juno Award winner, Acoustic Guitar Player’s Choice Award silver winner in the Flamenco Category, and a three-time winner of the Canadian Smooth Jazz award for Guitarist of the Year.

“Over the years, I’ve taken my music and tried to cross-pollinate it with music from different parts of the world,” stated Cook.  “For me, the question has always been: Where did you go? Where did you take your guitar?”

The answer on February 26, is Cleveland.

Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the concert is set to begin at 8:00 p.m.   There will be two sets, an intermission and no opening act.
