Trinity’s part-time Health and Wellness Minister, Terrie Doboze, has announced her retirement, effective Sept. 21. As our parish nurse for the past five years, Terrie has offered health consultations, first aid and educational resources to those in need on Sunday mornings. She also has accompanied parishioners to doctor appointments and emergency rooms and made home and hospital visits. As Terrie told the Dean in a meeting last week, it has been a great ministry but she is now ready to slow down and spend more time with her spouse and family.
Terrie will have her own booth at Ministry Fair on Sunday, Sept. 21 so that she can meet and greet parishioners. Being prepared and thinking ahead, Terrie has a plan: She is asking the doctors and nurses in our congregation to stop by her booth and volunteer to wear a “red sticker” on your name tag so that when there is a medical emergency during worship and/or congregational events, we will know to whom we can turn for first response. We hope you, in the medical community, will accept this invitation to serve.
Please plan to join us on Sunday, Sept. 21 as we honor Terrie’s work. We will celebrate her at all three services: 8, 9 and 11:15 a.m.
