The word Advent means “coming.” In this season, we’re invited to step back from our busy lives and create space to experience the miracle of Christmas as we also look forward in eager anticipation of Christ’s coming kingdom.
Trinity’s Advent retreat will take place Friday, Dec. 3 (from 6 p.m.–8:30 p.m.) and Saturday, Dec. 4 (from 9 a.m.–4 p.m.). It is led by the Rev. Greg Farrand, Episcopal priest and executive director of the Second Breath Center in Greensboro, N. C. You can register for Friday (which will occur online and in-person) at bit. ly/FridayAdventRetreat and register for Saturday (exclusively in person) at bit.ly/SaturdayAdventRetreat. Saturday’s sessions have a $25 fee to defer retreat expenses, including lunch. Greg will offer three workshops: the first on the mind (Friday), the second on the heart (Saturday morning), and the third, on the body (Saturday afternoon).
In the middle of the hectic holiday pace, this workshop is designed for you to refresh and refill your tanks, connect with God, and prepare your mind, heart and body to grow in awareness of Christ’s presence with and within you.
Through dynamic teaching, discussion, meditation, and spiritual practice, you will explore and experience the real life impact and transforming power of the coming of Christ. If you have questions, please contact the Rev. Adrienne Koch, akoch@ trinitycleveland.org.
