Pastoral Care Ministries
Health and Wellness Ministry
The Body, Mind and Spirit can be affected by disease. This committee is made up of health care professionals who can help Trinity community members navigate the health care system. Committee members, a health and wellness minister and clergy work hand-in-hand to provide initiatives, which will promote wellness and decrease disease. Volunteers are welcome to join the team.
Prayer Tree
A confidential ministry of intercessory prayers is maintained through a prayer network known as The Prayer Tree. Members of the Prayer Tree update lists by phone chain, and regularly pray for those whose names have been submitted by prayer request.
Sacred Space Group
This ongoing group supports the spiritual practice and growth of its members through discussion and shared participation in silent prayer, movement, chant, art as meditation and other spiritual practices.
Visitors Guild
Trinity Cathedral Visitors' Guild is a group of lay caregivers engaged in one-on-one pastoral care for those in the congregation experiencing special needs. Examples of such needs may include, but are not limited to: life crises/loss (death of a loved one, divorce); life challenges (health changes, illness, hospitalization), and/or life transitions (new baby, moving, career changes/loss of job, retirement). The group provides simple, but effective ways for people with special needs to stay connected with the faith community at Trinity. The ministry includes sending greetingcards and/or handwritten notes; making telephone calls; visiting in person; and taking communion from the Sunday worship service.
