Pastoral Care Ministries

Contemplative Practice Group
This ongoing group supports the spiritual practice and growth of its members through shared participation in silent prayer, movement, chant, art as meditation and other spiritual practices.

Health and Wellness Committee
This group seeks to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the congregation through educational forums, a parish nurse project and health program initiatives such as the Walking with Paul fitness program.

Prayer Tree
A confidential ministry of intercessory prayers is maintained through a prayer network known as The Prayer Tree. Members of the Prayer Tree update lists by phone chain, and regularly pray for those whose names have been submitted by prayer request.

Visitors Guild
Members of the guild indicate their willingness to do any of five areas of lay ministry care: visits, rides to Sunday worship, phone calls, written notes, and bringing the Sunday Eucharist to those who are homebound. New members of the Guild will be added throughout the year; interested persons may talk with Canon Wiesner. Visitor Guild membership is limited to members of the Cathedral congregation.
