Health and Wellness Ministry
This ministry team is made up of health care professionals who can help members of Trinity navigate the health care system. Team members, a health and wellness minister and clergy work hand-in-hand to develop initiatives that promote wellness and decrease disease. Volunteers are welcome to join the team, please contact Terrie Doboze or the Rev. Canon Will Mebane.
Trinity maintains a confidential ministry of intercessory prayers though a network known as The Prayer Tree. Members of the Prayer Tree update lists by phone chain, and regularly pray for those whose names have been submitted by prayer request. Contact coordinators Debbie Hunter, Linda Turk, or staff liaison the Rev. Canon Will Mebane.
Trinity Cathedral Visitors’ Guild is a group of lay caregivers engaged in one-on-one pastoral care for those in the congregation experiencing special needs. Examples of such needs include: life crises/loss (death of a loved one, divorce); life challenges (health changes, illness, hospitalization), or life transitions (new baby, moving, career changes/loss of job, retirement). The group provides simple, but effective ways for people with special needs to stay connected with their faith community at Trinity. The ministry includes sending greeting cards and notes; making telephone calls; visiting in person; and taking communion from the Sunday worship service. To learn more, please contact staff liaison the Rev. Canon Will Mebane.
