Congregational Life

Care Corner

Members of the Trinity Cathedral community are invited to post, confidentially, specific tasks with which they need assistance: finding a roommate, getting a ride to the doctor’s office, etc. Conversely, individuals willing to offer services i.e. painting, yard-work, etc. are invited to do the same. View the Care Corner listings here. If you have requests or an offer of help, please fill out this form. If have questions, please contact Ginger Bitikofer via email.

Cathedral Life Team

This committee plans and organizes inter-generational social programs and activities for the Trinity community and assists small groups with their activities. People with ideas for exciting and engaging activities that help cultivate a sense of community in the congregation are welcome. Extra hands are always needed for set-up, decorating, serving and clean up. To become involved, please contact Barbara Crouse or Ginger Bitikofer.

Children’s Ministries

Teen and adult volunteers are needed for our Children’s Ministries, which include a nursery for babies and toddlers (up to age 4), Sunday School programs for pre-school through 5th grade and special events for children throughout the year. To learn more or become involved, please contact the Rev. Kay Rackley or Chris Decatur.

Docents and Tour Guides

The Cathedral is a wondrous place to walk around. The docents lead tours of the Cathedral for visiting groups. It is a ministry of hospitality that shares information about Trinity’s history, architecture, artwork, and current programs. Training and reading materials are provided for our volunteers. To become involved, please contact staff liaison Ginger Bitikofer.

The Trinity Library, located in the Chapter Room, is open for business Sunday mornings. The collection includes books on religion, liturgy, sacred art and social justice. Book donations and volunteers are welcome. To learn more, please contact staff liaison Ginger Bitikofer.

Medieval Feasts Committee

The Medieval Feasts committee plans and coordinates the annual Medieval Feasts. The Feasts are fund raising events that support the Free Wednesday Brownbag Concerts. Volunteers are needed to help prepare and serve the Feasts. To become involved, please contact staff liaisons Todd Wilson or Cathy Rezos.

The people of Trinity Cathedral create daily meditations for the seasons of Advent and Lent. We seek writers, artists and photographers of all ages and from all parts of the Trinity community to contribute to this ministry. To become involved, please contact the Rev. Kay Rackley.

Stewardship Committee

Members of this committee plan the year-round stewardship activities of the Cathedral in order to build awareness of opportunities for sharing our time, talents, and treasures to help Trinity fulfill its mission and ministry. In addition to coordinating the fall pledge campaign, Stewardship Committee members oversee education initiatives including forums and participation in off-site workshops. To learn more about Stewardship at Trinity Cathedral visit this page,  Support Trinity, or contact Thomas Reuter, Chair of the Stewardship and Development Committee

Youth Ministry

Volunteers are needed to work with 6th-12th graders in Trinity’s youth program. Besides meeting for study and discussion on Sunday mornings, the junior- and senior-high youth groups tackle outreach projects, go on retreat and enjoy social events together. Mentors are also needed for our confirmation program. To learn more or become involved, please contact the Rev. Kay Rackley or Chris Decatur.
