The Gospel of “Glee”

The Rev. Kurt Wiesner
Rector of All Saints Episcopal Church, Littleton, N.H.
The Gospel of “Glee”
Saturday, March 3
9 a.m.-noon

The music of “Glee” stood out from its beginning. There was impressive individual talent demonstrated in solo performances, and something special was happening when the cast sang together. Their first combined number, ”Don’t stop believing,” became a huge YouTube sensation. But there is so much more that has come from the show. “Glee” is worth believing in, not only for its music, but for what it has to say about modern life. From staging powerful scenes, to long-term character development and plot, Glee has been faithfully speaking to the issues of day. And it’s overall message is “good news”!

Come join The Rev. Kurt Wiesner to explore the characters, themes and messages found in the hit television show. Social/coffee at 9 a.m., program from 9:30 a.m.-noon. Registration fee: $15. To register, contact Adam Spencer, 216-774-0418. Rev. Wiesner will also be the Dean’s Forum guest on March 4 at 10:10 a.m. and will discuss the spirituality of contemporary music.
